Singapore Youth media Conference 2006
The only time where I had the chance to feel like a freak parading in Disney Land.

The forums held were about Pop Culture and Dollars & Dreams, yet some of those (particularly young, ignorant or *ahem* JC kids) who asked questions to the panelists seem like they were a bunch of uncultured people with no dreams, only a sense of Kiasu-ism and lack of general knowledge were oozing out of them. Honestly, the parallel sessions given by a handful of University students made me want to ask them, "How the hell did you manage to enter Uni?" Apart from that, I'd like to congratulate Reka (Elvis Presley) and Reza (Storm) for dressing (and torturing) themselves as Pop Icons and winning the title for Best Dressed. Have fun at the MTV Asia Movie Awards, guys! HAHAHAHA I didn't even know there was even such an award show.

Now for the glorious pictures!

Shalu was the first to take a photo with me...

followed by Nurul and Faz outside the Convention Centre.

Zorro, Supergirl and Princess Fiona (of Shrek) formed the strangest threesome

Storm and Supergirl. Psst, she won but nobody noticed the hole in her tight pants except for me! Heehee.

By the end of the day, I saw a hair curler thingy and thought it was a dildo.

Kiddin of course.

Anyway, ANAGNORISIS WAS HOT! I loved that gig but damn my period. Because of cramps I couldn't hardcore dance or mosh! I'm a feminist who hates being a woman.
-____-
Photos will be uploaded (good ones of cos) when they've been developed and burnt into CD. We use analog cameras, you see. And speaking of photos, I've yet to burn the ones I took with *AHERRM* DENNIS of REFUSED and upload to let you guys see.

CASSANDRA was sick! Its too bad their set wasn't prolonged. They were brilliant, we were ecstatic. The whole room was filled with a LOT of Singaporeans and Malaysians who knew what they were doing and it was rare to see around 200 to 300 kids enjoying themselves like that. Although there were some annoying dummies who couldn't pull off Kungfu to save their ass, the gig was awesome. The vibe, the atmosphere, the emotions. They existed last night. Right there in the room in Art House, called 'Play Den'. And you wanna know what the irony was? There was a formal convention going on right next door. LOL.

BEFORE SHE DIE was also good. Why? They started off with a cover of As I Lay Dying's "Forever". I was taking photos of these Malaysian bands and to hear the first one play one of my favourites, I really felt like just throwing that camera and joining the pit. You know, thank God, that FM2 belongs to Feroze and not me. Even if he didn't take any photos last night. We were so psyched over the gig, what with The Rainbow Offensive bandannas (all 10 pieces were grabbed and worn proudly by our fellow peers! HELL YEAH) and hoodies. Owen, Ahmad, Syawal, Jason and many more fist danced and windmilled the night away. It was a sight I wouldn't forget. CRAZY SHIT MAN!

I really hoped I got a snap of Feroze body-flipping into the crowd from the stage and of all of them hardcore dancing in a circle.
Anagnorisis was grand.

And thank you for the organisers for letting us in free and treating us all who were involved in one way or another to the sumptuous supper at Simpang Bedok after the gig. Last night was also one of the few occasions I laughed until I felt like vomitting and peeing at the same time. Hilarious bullshit was going on eveywhere. Zad with his face, Dyl with his constant jokes, Ian with his gay crap and Feroze with his very out-of-point humor. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Syadie's name was also abused several times. Rabia, send me the photos taken please!! Rabia must have found her boyfriend bizzare. Suhayl was fuckin funny man.
Fun Zone indeed.
