Ignore the above date and time, there's something wrong with blogger.
Its 22nd Dec 2005, 9.25am now.
(post-diarrhoa)

I'm addicted to...
celebrity gossips.

Celebrity photos? The best. Especially pap's shots.
Oh my Gosh, I didn't know there are people who think that Hilary Duff looks like Gerard Way.

HAHAH!

What's more? Tabloid mags lay around at Feroze's mom's place and the internet is the best source of celeb gossips there is. I saw Lindsay's breasts exposed (befoe she started losing weight, stupid bitch. But now she's gaining again. YEAH! BOOBIES!), I saw Paris totally wasted at her holiday party, I saw Rachel and her boyfriend shopping at a mart, I saw Mary Kate mistook Chanel's designer for a stalker, I saw this and I saw that.
But sadly, they're what we call sensational stories, that might just be totally made up and supported weakly by nice photographs capturing the moment which could have signified something else altogether.

BUT WHO CARES?
Now the shopping maniac in me is reborn cos of all these thoughts of buying stuff that would make me look like some stars I crave for (but not gonna tell).

HAH, you're kidding right?
I actually can't be bothered.
Much thanks to Penny, now I'm seriously hooked on pap's shots more than when I was back in secondary school. Those were the days where I would go to Times at Tampines Mall when I'm bored and read tabloids to the core. Plus some Tolkien's books.

How I wish I can move to LA with Feroze's dad and live in Hollywood, maybe get mistaken for Jessica Alba or some Hispanic looking star. WAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH.

Ok, shoot me.

Yeah, well that part of my latest obsession is over.

Now: Clothing Lines.

What's up with youth in Singapore these days?
Ok, so I'm obviously a promoter for a certain clothing line which started last year but only got much recgonition this year, thanks to someone who introduced to us a local online apparel distributor.
*Die in your own freaking whispers*
But there's been a lot of kids trying to emulate other people's designs, bands, art, visuals and the list goes on, not attempting to be original BUT just doing it for the sake of a trend.

Is this a trend?
I'm not entirely sure but I do agree to a certain friend's bulletin post on Friendster a few days back. Some people have really horrendous works, some are not even attempting to be original and worst, some actually look like other clothing lines. That's what hurts.

OK, so there's a lot of clothing lines around in US, referring to the ones by the scenesters and for the *scenesters, such as the more thriving ones being Famous Stars and Straps, Ordinary Clothing and their lesser predecessors being Heartcore Clothing, Bleeding Star Clothing, but in Singapore?

All you see are kids trying hard to fish compliments on their works, that they may or may not call art, by having their designs put up on MySpcae or those websites where you can upload your "artwork" and have people leave comments. I'm not naming these sorta sites cos I have friends I respect who post up their work there and its fine. Its just that some people have works that are just NOT pleasing to the eyes and actually have people giving them the thumbs up. WTF, if art is ugly then what the hell is ART?

Maybe its all visual perceptions. Lets say, you like a design from a certain clothing line, but I don't cos I think it's too tacky, the design's too simple or its just plain unoriginal cos a normal person CAN detect FAKE from DESIGN-THATS-INSPIRED-FROM-BLABLABLA.
But maybe you just like FAKES.

Inspiration, you call it?
Well, if your talent shines through your work and sane people can differentiate your work from somebody else's, yes, its called something that has been inspired BY something else. NOT an idea bought free wholesale.
But when yours looks like a mock of the original, thats not a work been inspired, that is called a MOCKERY.
A fake.

Whatever it is, this is just my opinion and trust me I have a lot of opinions so you can consider yourself lucky cos I'm not posting all here.
WAHAHAHAHAHHA.
I dunno maybe I just don't get people who are self-proclaimed artists when I know more people who are without a doubt much better than them, yet modest enough to not declare themselves good artists (or just plain artists).
And to the person who gave me feedback on that clothing line, I'll look into it and see what I can do. CHEERS!

To my Christian friends, have a merry holiday!

*kids who are active in their local music/arts scene, for example in Singapore they have a group of people called Rockstar Collective and have local bands, record labels, clothing lines under their wings.

PS: There's a gig this Friday at Gordon building. See ya there!
We're selling some merch directly to you.
